NewsToday

A rolling feed of live world news.

connecting…

What is NewsToday?

NewsToday is a rolling, no-login feed of live world news headlines, pulled directly from CNBC, BBC, and The Guardian's public RSS feeds and merged into a single timeline. There's no recommendation algorithm deciding what you see — headlines appear in the order they're published, with a "Side by side" view for comparing how the three outlets are covering the same news cycle.

Why no ranking?

Most news apps decide what you see. A ranking system learns what you click and shows you more of it, which quietly narrows what you hear about. NewsToday doesn't rank or personalise at all: every headline from the three outlets appears in time order, newest first, and everyone sees the same feed.

Comparing outlets side by side

The side-by-side view gives each outlet its own column. It's a quick way to notice editorial choices — a story leading at the BBC that CNBC hasn't picked up, or an event the Guardian covers as politics while CNBC treats it as a markets story.

Where headlines come from

Each outlet publishes free public RSS feeds: CNBC Top News and World, BBC World, and The Guardian World. NewsToday shows only the headline and the short description each outlet puts in its own feed. Duplicates are removed, new items are marked NEW, and clicking any headline takes you to the original publisher's site — NewsToday only aggregates and links out, it doesn't republish full articles.

How often does it update?

The outlets' feeds are checked every couple of minutes, and the page refreshes itself about every 20 seconds.

Do you track what I read?

No. There is no login and no reading history.

Why only three outlets?

These three publish reliable public feeds. More may be added over time.
